What Is IPMS Great Plains?

IPMS Great Plains is an organization dedicated to the enjoyment of creating "models in miniature." We are affiliated with the International Plastic Modelers' Society (IPMS) and subscribe to the guidelines, rules and regulations of that organization.

What Do We Do?

Our members build and collect models of any type and era. While the bulk of the models we build are of military subjects (aircraft, armour, and ships), our members also build everything from cars, to spacecraft (both historical and sci-fi),to civil aircraft, or indeed almost any subject. We also have members who specialize in the art of figure painting. Although the "P" in IPMS stands for plastic, our members also work with wood, resin, vinyl, metal and even paper. Our goal is to increase the modeling skills of each member through discussion and demonstrations. We also host contests and shows to help promote and attract new members to our hobby.
